Slow loss

Roughly 5# down in 5 weeks? Not the progress I was planning on! 2 more weeks to lose 5 more pounds... when it took me 5 weeks to lose the first 5...

Yeah, I can do that. Early morning wake-up rides should help right?

Status

"This can't be right" is what I said looking down at the scale. Gained? How? Smaller portions, much lower carb intake, minimal wheat, minimal sweets and 6 1/2 hours of riding... What the hell? "It's muscle." says Kristie. God I love her.

I'll reserve weigh in for Wednesday.

Day 2

So... 2 lunch rides @ the Jay. Easy on the portions, too many push-ups.
Call starting weight 198. Target 183...actually 175 but I'm going for achievable here.

call me fatty

So it's been a year since I've had anything resembling fitness. It's been a string of months of beer and ice cream without the usual accompanying rides. One guess what that brings. Heft. Bulk. Spread. Girth.
I did manage to lose ten pounds in the month leading up to Christmas but those pounds came back and they brought friends. I have been on the bike more in the past 3 weeks than any time in the past 6-8 months but I feel woefully sluggish. So... a declaration:
1- I will ride at LEAST 6 hours a week... 3 of them @ HIT.
2- I will say no thank you to the Sasquatch sized portions of, well, anything I have been enjoying lately.
3- I will drop at least 15# in the next 7 weeks.
4- I will hold myself accountable.

I will then, once again, look casually comfortable to some of you, be able to keep up again with many of you and kick sand in the faces of a few of you then ride away.

How does the end of the commission period sneak up like this? Hey production guys: What say you all stop what you're doing and produce only my orders...really fast. And hey you customer people, how's about some terms...say net 30 minutes? Yea, that'd work.
Now what's for dinner?

60?

I'm a big fatty right now and not in a good way. I'm sort of commited to the Tour de Cullman Saturday. Guess I'll do my best to sit in the back and not lock up. Surely with my years of cycling experience I can complete a 60 mile ramble/race without completely embarassing myself right?

I mean.. I have been commuting to work...4 miles round trip!
